Founded in 1978 and listed on TPEx in 2005 (stock code: 1785), SOLAR is the world’s leading manufacturer of thin-film sputtering targets. Founded upon a platform of recycling and refining precious and rare metals, we are focused on the research, development and manufacturing of high-value functional materials applied in data storage, optoelectronic displays and semiconductors. We have made it our mission to develop critical materials in Taiwan and create value through innovation, while establishing a business model in green circular economy with green technology.

SOLAR, which originated from Guantian in Tainan, has three plants in Taiwan. With the mindset of paying back to the community, three of our plants are all located in Tainan. In response to client demands and the rise of China, SOLAR ventured to China in 2000 and built two production bases and a R&D center. Our offices and customer service centers are located across Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the US and Singapore to serve clients worldwide. We provide a full range of products and services, including sputtering targets, chemicals and recycling of precious metals.
