Ahead of Labor Day, encouraging news emerged from Tainan. In 2026, seven outstanding workers from Tainan City were honored with the prestigious National Model Worker award. The Tainan City Government held a commendation ceremony on April 20, where Deputy Secretary-General Hsu Chien-lin presented “Model Worker” plaques and commemorative gifts on behalf of Mayor Huang Wei-che, paying the highest tribute to grassroots heroes who have long dedicated themselves to their respective fields. Their professionalism and enthusiasm were recognized for making outstanding contributions to society and industry.

The event also included a reception at the Tainan City Council. The seven award recipients come from diverse industries, highlighting the value of skilled professionals across sectors. Among them, Chang Jo-ping from Advanced Application Materials Inc. has promoted project development and talent cultivation in the semiconductor field, helping the company win the TTQS Gold Award for five consecutive years and serving as a key driver in the industry supply chain.
