Solar Receives TIPS A-Level Certification Again

As the world’s leading manufacturer of thin-film sputtering targets, Solar (1785-TW) applied for the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) A-Level certification in 2023 and obtained the certification in the same year. In 2024, the company applied for recertification and also successfully obtained the certification.
On February 20, the Institute for Information Industry held the “2025 TIPS Certification Ceremony and Special Seminar on Linking Intellectual Property Management with ESG” at the Center for Public and Business Administration Education (CPBAE), National Chengchi University. The award was presented by Director-General Yang Chih-Ching of the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and received on behalf of Solar by Chairman Huang Chii-Feng. Solar was awarded the “Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) A-Level” certificate, demonstrating that through TIPS certification, the company continues to improve its intellectual property management system, actively deploys intellectual property rights related to materials and recycling technologies to protect research and development achievements in circular materials, and is the first thin-film sputtering target manufacturer in Taiwan to continuously pass the TIPS A-Level certification.
